How do you find intelligent people to chat with on Messenger?

Sorry, I haven’t bothered to use Messenger in 5 years, and now I’m bored, but I don’t want to be plagued by a lot of ********. I’m just wondering how to find people just to have a smart conversation with for a little bit. Thanks.
Figures, it’s still the same as five years ago. Shouldn’t have even bothered turning it on, gonna shut it off before I get bogged down.

all of the intelligent clean thinking guys have decided that these messengers(yahoo, msn, icq etc) are a boring waste of their time and have gone back to the old ways of socializing.

When you are communicating on the pc you don’t know who you are chatting with. The way you can tell if the person is intelligent is from the words typed, something of interest, words of intelligence with a friendly tone and nothing sexual. Although there might be intelligent ******** out there. If you want to chat with people, I suggest to do it live where you can see the person. I don’t mean a cam, but somebody you can touch.

intelligent people dont just chat for no reason ,there has to be an interest and substance ,so usually what you put out is returned in kind as far as the quality of response is concerned.
if you are in a group that deals with things that attract intelligent people that you will meet them as well
and inteligence has so many faces you have to narrow it down to a catagory
